Well after 387 flights without a crash my Align 600 Nitro Pro unfortunately met it's end yesterday!

I was on my second flight of the day and doing a loop in front of me, while at the top of the loop I think wind must of caught it and it began it's downward part of the loop coming towards me, in fact right above my head.  I stayed as long as I dare trying to gain control and pull it out of the dive, but eventually I had to move or get hit.  Pretty sure it was pilot error

The Trex hit the ground tail first which meant the electronics and motor were undamaged, but unfortunately the rest of the helicopter was a write of, with both side frames and bottom frames broke in multiple places, tail and torque tube destoryed and several parts of the head.  The canopy only had a couple of scratches and is reusable.

The damage is so extensive that it is not worth repairing.  It is a shame because the 600 was flying perfectly.

At this point I have not whether I am going to build another 600,  wait for the new Aligh Trex 700,  or buy one of the expensive Avro Blitz helicopters.
